Return to school - Thursday 6th January 2022

Dear Parents,
I hope you have had a wonderfully, relaxing Christmas break and we are looking forward to welcoming everyone back at St Wilfrid's School on Thursday 6th January.
Face Coverings
Pupils in Years 7, 8, 9, 10 & 11 must now wear their face coverings in all communal areas including classrooms, unless they are medically exempt. Please ensure your child is equipped for school including their face coverings, hand sanitiser and anti-bacterial wipes.
Pupils in the lower school are welcome to wear face coverings also.
Years 7, 8, 9, 10 & 11 Lateral Flow Testing
Those who have consented will undertake a one time Lateral Flow Test on site on Thursday 6th January. This will help boost testing participation and reduce transmission after a period of social mixing during the holidays. Pupils are then strongly encouraged to continue testing twice weekly at home (preferably Monday and Thursday before attending school) and to report all results to NHS Test and Trace and to their setting.
In the unlikely event of increased staff absence due to COVID-19, please be aware that we may have to provide remote learning.
Key Messages
Please find attached a key message poster to help with the return to school.
I wish you all a Happy New Year and look forward to welcoming everyone back on Thursday.
Kind regards,
Mr Bovingdon
