Media Studies

Welcome to St Wilfrid's School! We encourage our pupils to develop an appreciation and critical understanding of the media and their role both historically and currently in society, culture and politics. 

Our media studies curriculum covers a wide range of important media issues and offers our students the opportunity to demonstrate skills of enquiry, critical thinking, decision making and analysis. We incorporate creative media production tasks into our lessons to develop practical skills and encourage pupils to appreciate how their theoretical knowledge supports their practice and their practice supports their theoretical understanding.
